Four star defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="25055" first="Jaylin" last="Smith"] of Alemany High in Mission Hills announced his commitment to USC Tuesday.
Smith, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound safety/cornerback hybrid, had 13 other offers.
He is the fourth player from last year’s Alemany team to commit to USC, joining [player_tooltip player_id="25028" first="Miller" last="Moss"], [player_tooltip player_id="25085" first="Saia" last="Mapakaitolo"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25231" first="Niuafe" last="Tuihalamaka"], who is in the class of 2022. Moss has since transferred to Mater Dei.

Smith told Greg Biggins of 247Sports that he still plans on taking official visits to other schools when they resume and that USC has given him permission to do so.
He had two interceptions last season and returned one for a touchdown.

6-foot-8 offensive and defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="25181" first="Isaiah" last="World"] announced his commitment to Arizona State Sunday.
World primarily plays defensive end at Lincoln High of San Diego but also may be suited to play offensive tackle for the Sun Devils.
He had a career-high 12 tackles against Point Loma last season and tallied 11 tackles and one for a loss against San Clemente.
World also had offers from Idaho and Nevada and was reportedly heavily considering Sun Devils’ rival Arizona.
<strong>JSerra Rugby Talent gets First Football Offer</strong>
JSerra offensive lineman Addison Barrette picked up his first football scholarship offer from Whittier College in June.
Barrette, who is a rugby player for the South Orange County Raptors Rugby Club, was a backup on the talented JSerra offensive and defensive line last year and is slated to start this season.

The 6-foot-1, 260-pound lineman had a sack in a win against Santa Margarita last season.

Mission Viejo class of 2022 athlete [player_tooltip player_id="25278" first="Cooper" last="Barkate"] was offered by Kansas last week adding to a slew of offers for the transfer from St. Margaret’s.

Barkate started as a freshman at cornerback for St. Margaret’s in 2018 and showed his skills as a receiver in 2019 for the Tartans. The two-sport athlete (track and field) transferred to Mission Viejo in the spring and was having a great track season before it was canceled due to COVID-19.
He has offers from many top schools including Utah and Purdue.
<strong>Santa Margarita’s Wetmore has Two Ivy Offers</strong>
Santa Margarita receiver and kick returner Tyler Wetmore was offered by Columbia and Penn in April.

Wetmore, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound slot receiver is an intriguing prospect under Santa Margarita’s new coaching staff led by Tim Walsh.
He caught 32 passes for 461 yards and five touchdowns as a junior for the Eagles.
Wetmore also has interest from Yale and Dartmouth.
