Scrivens is a twitchy interior defender that is very athletic for his size. He has good hand violence off the ball and has athleticism that immediately stands out on his tape. Scrivens shows a variety of pass rush moves from the inside and has a powerful first step that covers ground quickly when collapsing the pocket up the middle. He is extremely physical at the point of attack and has natural bend in his stance while snapping out and winning with leverage and lower body power when taking on blockers. He shows quick play recognition and moves fluidly in space with plus change of direction abilities and closing speed. Scrivens is a unique athlete on the inside and projects as a snappy defensive tackle or nose at the next level.

A lot to like about Scrivens combination of size and skillset. At 6’0” 280 lbs. he’s got ideal size as a junior for the interior but demonstrates good ability playing the edge as well for Loyola. Great awareness and technique on the DL showing he can lock out blockers with inside hand leverage and then disengage to locate the ball carrier. Demonstrates he can fill a gap and hold his ground to neutralize blockers and anchor down. Like his ability to beat double teams and fight through contact to get the bal. He’s a plus athlete at his size that shows some twitch and quick reactions. In nine games this season, he’s racked up 67 tackles, eight TFL, and an interception. Was a top performer at the SoCal PRZ Showcase last spring and is expected to see a bump in recruiting going forward.

Scrivens looks bigger than the 280 pounds in which he is listed.
What stood out about Scrivens was his quickness off the ball and how explosive he is out of his stance.
He beat some offensive lineman off the ball so badly he was able to get by them before they could even land their initial punch. Scrivens showed a good mix of speed and power moves.

The 2026 prospect is a tremendous athlete from his OT position, and has great movement abilities in space, good feet in pass protection and helps anchor both sides of the line for Los Al. Offensively, he snaps out of his stance and can easily win against speed rushers with quick feet, lateral movement abilities and good body control when creating a pocket. He knows when to drop and anchor, while using his hands and violence punch to get defenders hands down quickly in their rush. When blocking at the second level, he does a nice job at taking the proper angles to linebackers and can sustain blocks downfield while finishing with nasty intentions. Defensively, he is twitchy and shows a quick use of hands at the POA while able to bend in tight windows and has impressed at multiple stops this off-season on the defensive side of the ball. Scrivens has played against some of the top talent in the state as only a second year guy, and should take a big leap into year three this season and draw college interest as he is a no brainer next level kid.
