McDaniel transferred from Dorsey in the City Section to Los Alamitos.

He is relaxed in the pocket and smooth with his delivery. McDaniel has nice touch on the deeper throws and is an anticipatory thrower who can throw guys open. He goes through his progressions and makes good decisions with the ball.

McDaniel is a physical runner when he does run the ball and is a solid athlete. He had a nice showing at the Elite 11 Regional this offseason and is taking a big step up in competition by going to Los Alamitos.

-A reclassified prospect who is as physically sculpted and defined a seventh-grader, as I’ve ever seen in my years as scouting middle school ball

-His action-figure build isn’t just for show. Produced very impressive testing numbers last spring, highlighted by a 103-inch broad jump and nearly a 25-inch vertical. Powerful lower half allowed for big results

-Last season played for the OG Ducks out of Southern California and the lefty should have a nice variety to choose from, when selecting what high school he’ll line up for.
