Simpson is sounding D1 alarms already, but I think the buzz is just getting started here. He comes in around 6’2 210. He is long, lean, and has room to easily surpass 220 while holding it well. He projects as a true stand-up LB long term, but I’ll leave the door open to playing EDGE long term as well. Regardless, Simpson is a prototype combination of size and speed for the position. He is equipped with outstanding pursuit speed, the length to clog passing windows, and has plenty of experience battling at the POA with blockers. I wouldn’t be shocked to see P4 offers come his way down the line.
