Vaden has steadily crept onto the radar over the last few months out of Scottsboro and is set to break onto our rankings draft. Vaden is a broad-shouldered, gadgety player with RB-like physical traits and play style. He is an explosive, dodgy player in the short areas who is drawn up unique opportunities with the ball in his hands. I love his upside as a YAC option, and with the traits present, I imagine that is where college coaches would like to see him used, too.

“At DB, Vaden really thrives. He’s an instinctual defender who combines his speed and IQ to create huge turnovers at any given moment. He’s so good with his timing, constantly flying in to get hands on the ball and force INTs/PBUs. On top of that, he’s a reliable run defender who can tackle in open space, making him a really valuable piece of Scottsboro’s secondary.

At WR, Vaden does a great job using his speed, burst, and change of direction to create explosive plays out wide. He’s a serious threat with the ball in his hands- it’s easy for him to make defenders miss, and once he turns upfield, he is near impossible to catch up to.”

Vaden is picking up momentum on the recruiting trail, listing offers from Murray State and Chattanooga over the last few weeks.
