A speedstewr of a route-runner that we featured on our Lincoln All-City Team before the season, is Lincoln Northwest 2027 wide receiver Zavier Wells Zavier Wells 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Lincoln Northwest | 2027 NE . His cutting ability over the middle of the field can quickly get the seperation you are looking for on deep routes as Zavier has grown from a season ago with his ball-tracking ability on those deeper throws in my eyes with more poise. He has started his 2026 sesaon by averaging a shade over a first down and a half per catch (16.1). He’s one that has excellent position flexibility for the next-level as I keep going back and forth positionally where I see Zavier at the next-level. A sleeper in this 2027 class that holds just one NAIA offer thus far and is one that surprisingly wasn’t ranked yet.

If I had an “All-Hands” team for the tournament, LNW’s Zavier Wells Zavier Wells 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Lincoln Northwest | 2027 NE would easily be near the top of that list. Zavier kicked off the day with a highlight-reel catch where he went up and “Mossed” the defender for a big-time TD catch. Overall, Zavier has a pretty solid skill set at receiver, starting with a good release off the ball, great burst through the stem, clean footwork, and sharp change of direction at the break. He really stood out as a “hands” receiver who is willing to be aggressive when going up to get the ball. Wells projects well as an outside receiver who can be your go-to target on the outside, but can also work the other areas of the field.
