Zander is a fun, versatile prospect to watch on tape. The strong safety wins all over the field. He has the examples of him roaming the back end, jumping routes, and picking off or breaking up passes but where he really shines is when you let him get closer to the line of scrimmage. Zander brings a physicality to the field and acceleration that allows him to fly around the front seven making tackles against the run while avoiding blocks. The ’25 is an excellent tackler, running his feet through contact and being the hammer. Zander sets himself apart from your standard box safety with his play in the slot. There are several clips showing his reactive athleticism and change of direction agility as he sticks in his man’s hip pocket. These type of chess pieces are valuable at the next level. Programs need to give this kid a look.
