Becker’s QB1 Zach Bengtson went off vs. Hill-Murray to the tune of 20 completions on 30 attempts (66.7%) for 250 yards and 5 TDs. Also punted twice for 73 yards, successfully kicked a FG, and was 4-5 on PATs. His favorite target was fellow senior Kyan Blomquist, who caught 10 passes for 127 yards and 2 TDs. Becker got a big win 40-14.

Becker’s X-factor kicker heading into the fall, Zach Bengston Zach Bengston 5'7" | 155 lbs | ATH Becker | 2024 State MN combines a powerful leg with the ability to hit his chip shots consistently, two very important skills for a kicker to have. He’s kicked game winners, he’s kicked from every hash, and he also drills extra points seamlessly. Bengston went 41 for 42 on extra points on the year, and his only “miss” was actually blocked. His approach is powerful and looks virtually the same on every kick, which shows how fine tuned his form is. On top of all of this, he also does kickoffs, and averaged over 57 yards per kick as well as accumulating nine touchbacks on the season. Overall, Bengston is one heck of a kicker, and he should have plenty more opportunities to show his stuff this fall.
