Allen led Carson in tackles with 101 with 18.5 for a loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
One of his biggest strengths is his versatility. He can play off the edge and on the inside. He crashes the edge hard and takes on pulling guards very well. Allen has excellent lateral quickness and often makes tackles outside the numbers from the inside linebacker spot.

Allen had six tackles with two sacks and two hurries for Carson in its blowout win over Crenshaw in the Open Division championship game.
He’s developed into a nice run defender and is a versatile player who can play off the edge or by a 3-technique. As a prospect, he’s best as an edge rusher and has some explosiveness to his game.

I didn’t get to see as much of Allen as I would have liked to, but he had a strong showing during the bag drills. He has quick feet and showed some burst. He closed to the ball quickly in the open field drills with the running backs.

Allen came in as the most productive defender among the LBs in attendance on Sunday after posting 116 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 15.5 TFLs as a junior for Carson. He’s a physical kid at 6’/210 who’s game shines brighter on tape with the pads on than in a camp environment, but put together some solid reps in the indy and 1v1 sessions. Showed promising versatility in his junior film playing both ILB and on the ball as an edge defender making a ton of plays around the LOS from both spots. Allen’s production, experience, and versatility offer plenty of potential to build on coming into this offseason.

Allen led a good Carson team in tackles last season with 126 and added 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
He does a good job avoiding offensive linemen trying to block him at the second level in multiple ways. Allen can use a club move and dip below blockers or get his hands on them and make a quick move.
He is a good tackler and has decent short-area quickness. Allen isn’t in pass coverage a ton on film and I’m interested in seeing him match up against running backs in man coverage on Sunday.
