You set a firm edge in the run game when you want to, and your 4.0 GPA plus football IQ shows up in how you diagnose plays pre-snap. This is a kid who converts pressure into production every week.

• Changes that would take you to the next level:

Frame is still lean at 185 lbs—you’re a true edge bender right now, but you’re not yet a power player who can stack and shed big offensive tackles or dominate vs. the run when they scheme you down. Pad level and anchor strength will improve once you add 15–20 good pounds of functional mass in a college weight program. Coverage is still a work in progress (you’ve flashed some drop ability on the edge but it’s not a strength yet). Raw hand usage is good but it can get a little wide at times against veteran OTs who have seen speed rushers before.

• If / how you project to help a team win

Sula projects as a high-upside college edge/OLB who can be a disruptive force in the pass game from day one and grow into a complete three-down player. His combination of length, bend, closing speed, and relentless motor gives him the tools to be a sack artist and turnover creator at the next level—exactly the kind of guy that tilts games by forcing negative plays and getting the ball back for the offense. With continued physical development and refinement in run defense and coverage, he has the ceiling to be a starting edge for a Power conference program. Right now he’s already a difference-maker for Carson’s defense and a kid whose best football is still way ahead of him.

Bottom line: Explosive, productive sophomore edge with the measurables and film to warrant early college interest. Keep feeding him reps and watch the sack total climb. Worth monitoring closely in the 2026 cycle.

Sula has been an impressive defensive playmaker for Carson the last two seasons. In 2025, he racked up 95 total tackles (50 solo) with 25 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles. 6’2” 190 lbs. he’s got room to add mass to his frame while still maintaining his strengths as a speed based rusher. Quick off the ball, he gains immediate penetration beating OT’s around the edge before they can get to the spot. Shows good natural bend running the arc while staying low/tight. Flexible in the ankles/hips to dip and turn the corner without losing speed. Closing speed stands out in pursuit as a pass rusher and when chasing the ball carrier downfield or backside. Does a great job converting pressures into sacks and tackles for loss. In addition to his speed, he’s able to use his strength to maintain separation from blockers and set a firm edge. Recruitable at multiple positions depending on development and scheme.

Sula is one of the most explosive and twitchy edge rushers across the state regardless of class and is a big time pass rusher in the 2028 class. He has an elite first step, quick hands and shoulder turn at the POA and can win with speed and finesse at the POA and gets underneath bigger tackles. He shows closing speed in the open field, change of direction in the pocket and can make plays with ease in the open field while showing a variety of moves in his toolbox and elite twitch and snap out of his stance. He stil has room to pack on weight but should fit nicely as a outside linebacker in college with some plus cover abiltiies as well.
