About Wailer

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Always under control and willing to do whatever my coaches and teammates ask of me. Stay calm under pressure and use all of my skills when necessary

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Always wanting to compete. I am a hard worker and funny when need to be and I can be calm under pressure.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an honor roll student.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I regularly help at the rec with little league football and baseball.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The year before middle school I was in a batting slump and I work hard in the off season and came back and got Offensive Player Award for baseball.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking at the opportunity to attend any college that will have me.

I really feel like Wailer Sands is a guy who will develop into a really special talent in the Peach State. Sands is young but shows a lot of maturity within his game, especially at the quarterback position where it’s basically required. He really impressed me with some of his mechanics and throwing ability. He is someone I really feel like will be a name that impresses in a week in and week out basis.

Sands is creeping onto the radar as a freshman, and I thought he looked better than I initially expected from a physical standpoint. He is a long, cut athlete who tested just as well as most of the skill players at camp, if not better. His natural athleticism indicates he should age well as he develops. He is a smooth operator who operates in a calm manner. I will be watching closely to see how his arm strength develops.

He’s a very impressive player and someone who can sling the ball/ He has the full ability to make plays with his arms and legs but during the showcase, I believe his arm will be a standout on display. Looking forward to seeing Sands throw on January 24th!

Sands is another intriguing in-state 2029 QB that we have locked in. Sands might not have the recruiting buzz that other 2029’s have right now, but like Parker, I am impressed with his feel and touch. On tape, he looks patient and confident in the pocket. He will get to throw the ball around the yard on the 24th and make a name for himself.
