There’s some serious hard work and development produced by the Rocori strength and conditioning program when it comes to their football program. 2028 QB/ATH Tyson Zauhar Tyson Zauhar 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB/DB Rocori | 2028 State MN is the latest installment and example of this trend, as the underclassman popped off a 4.80 40, 4.38 shuttle, and 8’7 broad while rocking 9″ hands 5’11, 167 lbs. with an 80″ wing. The heir to the QB1 throne for the 4A contender Spartans, Zauhar was accurate, confident, coachable, and could put some serious zip on the balls, displaying solid timing and a quick release. Zauhar is widely regarded as not only one of the best QBs in his class, but one of the best prospects in the state as a whole. He validated that ranking with his performance last Saturday afternoon. Touting a very impressive 80″ wingspan and 9″ hands, Zauhar also recorded a 4.8 40-yard dash, an eye-catching 4.38 shuttle, and a solid 8’7″ broad jump. During the 1v1s, however, he really began to shine. Zauhar throws a fantastic deep ball and throws a tight spiral. He can put plenty of air under a pass when needed, but can also crank missiles for shorter to intermediate routes. Expect Zauhar to be a frontrunner for the now-open QB1 role for the Spartans, and pay close attention to the red-hot soon-to-be junior prospect.

One player that caught the attention of all our scouts was Tyson Zauhar Tyson Zauhar 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB/DB Rocori | 2028 State MN , who excelled within this group and has generated buzz as a potential stud for the class of 2028. Zauhar showed solid athleticism, and he did a great job hitting his passes on the run, and he has an impressive cannon of an arm for a QB his age. Playing behind senior Max Fredin, Zauhar will have another season to develop his skills before potentially earning a starting role in 2026, which will give him plenty of time to further progress his mechanics which already look promising.

Historically, Rocori has produced some incredible prospects, and Zauhar might be next in that prominent line. After talking to some coaches and a few of my coworkers, it was clear that quite a few of them are high on Zauhar, and I see why. The 2028 can sling it. He ran an impressive 4.57 shuttle, but some of his throws were what really caught my eye. His poise and ball placement on deeper routes are rare to find on a younger prospect like himself. Zauhar likely has one more developmental season in him before varsity, but if he continues to build on what he showed on Sunday he could be an interesting prospect.
