How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Nasty. Violent hands. Violent at the point of the attack. Finisher.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I work harder than most. I’m a violent center and I play nasty football.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, NHS, AG, PALS, PAC, A Leader for our school groups, many academic awards for high GPA and many leadership awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed patience, leadership, teamwork, and confidence through the work I’ve done on and off the field through highschool. I’m also a very active student athlete while doing community service.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being by yourself when others go have fun and you have to do workouts. Learning that I have to make sacrifices others don’t.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that wants me for who I am and will respect the things I’ve done but will also make me feel at home and guide me to where I want to be.

Hughes has a powerful punch at the point of attack, he has gets into his kick slide quickly during pass protection, he sets the table well and his ability to bend and recover enables him to be in position to eat up defenders. Ty moves well in space, during the agility drills, he showed the ability to shift his weight and stay low and he has superb technique. During the 1v1 portion versus the defensive linemen, Ty attacked his opponent with violents hands, he showed great patience by allowing the defender to come to him and very seldom got off his axis, which enabled him to win reps. Hughes is heading into his junior season, look for him to be a force on the Celina offensive line.
