It is a shame for Evans as he is being degraded by major college recruiters because of size and talent around him. While yes he is no more than 6 feet tall and yes the talent around him are allstars, but he didnt become Virginia all time leading passer by accident, the dude can play. Once again he was errorless in their route over Madison throwing for 3 touchdowns and breaking the state touchdown record early in the third quarter. Watching him in person you can see the presence he holds among his teammates his leadership qualities really stand out. Personally I think it is only a matter of time until more division 2/fcs schools start offering, as he marches onward to back to back state titles, the offers might explode.

The reigning player of the year has been setting school and state records every week and he has a chance to accomplish more Saturday. What has been curious for Evans has been the recruiting aspect or perhaps lack thereof as he does not have enough offers. In my opinion he would look great at the FCS level or perhaps in the IVY league and with recruiting periods opening again I anticipate he will get the respect he deserves. At quarterback he is precise with the football with only 3 interceptions on the year as opposed to the 41 touchdown passes. The kid is on point and will be looking to pick up where he left off last week, which was dropping dimes all over the field.

I will not stop giving this young man accolades until he starts getting the recognition he deserves! All he did in Freedom’s blowout over Hylton was go 13-16 for 223 yards and five touchdown passes. He has lead the Eagles to another district title and has a good chance to be named player of the year again this fall. When they begin the playoffs, expect his numbers to look even more absurd as honestly a lot of his stats are a bit misleading as Freedom has blown the doors off of their competition.

The reigning player of the year has not missed a beat in his senior season, and at this point it is a shame more colleges have not come calling. All he has done is lead the best team in the state of Virginia to a state title and quite possibly a second. When all is said and done Freedom Woodbridge quarterback

will most likely have two state championships, a player of the year selection and host of other honors. What he does not have yet is a legitimate offer from at least an FCS level school. You mean to tell me that a young man with a 4.0 GPA, signal caller for the reigning Class 6 champs cant get an honest offer, that is not fair. The Patriot League should be pinning for his services, whether it be that league or another he will sure not disappoint.

Been high on this young man for a bit and it’s time we start to put some respect on his name! Evans was lights out during the 1 on 1 drills pinpointing his targets on nearly every throw he had. When you watch him work on his craft you should not be surprised he did so well, after all he only threw for over 60 touchdowns last year. The Virginia player of the year made another statement with his outing, even finding reliable targets who do not play for his state champion squad Freedom. While we have profiled the Freedom Eagles often and understandably with the ridiculous amount of talent they have, its time to recognize this signal caller as one of the elites.

Why don’t we start the 2022 State player of the year in Mr. Evans how bout that? Mr. Evans not only lead Freedom to a state championship, he tossed for a ridiculous 61 touchdown passes to go along with 11 rushing scores. You read that right, the Virginia state player of the year for 2022 had 75 total touchdowns and oh yeah only tossed 6 interceptions, pretty impressive stuff. Watch his tape the kid can make every in the pocket or on the run. The only reason he is not getting more division 1 interest may be because of his height which certainly is unfair. It would be a shame if any major school would miss out on him because of height, but he will make all of them pay after 2023. Get to know this man now before it is too late, he has several FCS and smaller FBS schools calling already. http://www.hudl.com/v/2K8Mer
