The pure instinct that Bryant shows at the safety position is some of the best I’ve seen in the Charlotte Metro Area. I’ve been high on Bryant since seeing him have a two-interception game last season. He trusts his eyes and does an excellent job of pattern reading and knowing where the ball is going in the air. Bryant also contributes as a playmaker on offense, getting the ball on jet sweeps and reverses to make big plays for his offense. Bryant has nice speed and range at the safety position as well, and he’s a real consideration for this 704 Junior Bowl team.

Though a bit undersized, White was used in a variety of roles in 2025. A true athlete, he contributed as a defensive back and receiver, while doing some damage on the ground via jet sweeps, as well. There’s some projection needed, but as he gets bigger, White should have ample opportunity to put up big numbers on both sides of the ball.

I thought Bryant was the best player overall on the field on Friday Night. North Meck got Bryant the ball on offense on a couple of jet sweep plays that were very effective early in the game, and helped set up their offensive scores of a field goal on their first drive, and a touchdown on their second drive. Defensively, Bryant had a would-be pick-6 wiped out due to a roughing the passer penalty, and he flat-out dropped another interception near the end zone. Nevertheless, his instincts and ball skills from his safety position kept Hopewell from going at him in the passing game in the middle of the field, where he pretty much stayed in their Cover 1/Cover 3 shell-based defense. I talked with Bryant after the game.

Bryant had a big-time breakout season as a defensive back who ended up becoming an All-Conference player. What Bryant does best is be a ball-hawking free safety who does an excellent job in pattern reading along with reading the eyes of quarterbacks. I watched him live in a game where he had two interceptions showing those exact traits. Bryant has also shown some excellent speed which contributes to a big range of areas that he can cover from his safety position. Bryant also can contribute as a wide receiver and a kick returner on Special Teams, making impact plays in both of those areas at times this past season.

After originally catching my eye with really good cornerback fundamentals, come the two games Trey White’s star shined brightest in the return game for the North Carolina Future Stars. He’s only 5-foot-4 but he was exciting to watch with the ball in his hands. Had the ability to make everyone in the stadium hold their breath as he moved around the field. I’d swear he was part elastic with the way he was about jitterbug his way around would-be tacklers in close proximity. He told me he’s typically a slot receiver–and I believe it watching him create after the catch, but he looked pretty good to me as a corner in practice.
