Trey played a GREAT game against a very good defense. You won’t find many players with as much success against King.
Defensively, Trey had six tackles and one critical forced fumble. Offensively, Trey totaled 124 yards on 12 attempts, plus 3-4 passing- all three of his passes going for TDs. You can’t get much more efficient than that!
I don’t have a whole lot more to say other than how dang efficient Trey was all season. He isn’t the biggest, he isn’t the fastest, not even the most athletic player- but he seems like one of the smartest and most coachable players in Michigan. Hats off to Trey for an incredible high school career!

Trey is another guy who I’ve been sleeping on a bit. To my surprise, he’s starting at Quarterback. To even more of a surprise, Trey had a handful of pass attempts, and made the most of those opportunities. Lastly, Trey had a handful of carries and was overall utilized far better than most Wing-T QB’s that I’ve watched.
Touching on the passing- Trey fired away a few accurate deep balls alongside some quick game. He did put one ball in harm’s way but had zero turnover-worthy plays otherwise. While running the ball, Trey worked north-south very well and consistently ran through arm tackles.
Excellent game from Trey, and I can’t wait to see him face another elite D3 program in the postseason.

Trey is actually a very prolific runner on the offensive side of the ball, but DB is where I think he really shines. Trey does a great job of reading and reacting quickly, and bringing the boom when he hits. He has done well in the offseason as he looks bigger and he looks more athletic. Zeeland West is off to a great start this season, and I think Trey has a lot to do with that. I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on him and the rest of this Dux team.
