I was lucky enough to be there to see Keaton shatter the state title record with 6 touchdowns in the D3 title game! 3 on the ground, 3 through the air, there was nothing Keaton could do wrong! He played phenomenal within the offense, did a great job of maximizing every run and showing some solid hands and ability to run after the catch. Whoever lands him at the next level is going to be getting a great competitor who can do a little bit of everything!

Keaton came to play today and was a gigantic reason why Zeeland West won the Division 3 State Championship.
In the first half alone, Keaton totaled 104 yards rushing, four total touchdowns, and one forced fumble. In the end, Keaton finished with 129 yards rushing, 25 yards receiving, and 6 total touchdowns- a State Championship record.
His performance today mirrors what he’s been doing all season. Offensively, Keaton made the most out of every single touch. Running the ball, he’s definitely Zeeland West’s best option, mainly because of his vision and speed. I can’t quite explain it, but he’s just so, so good once he reaches the second level.
Defensively, he’s a very opportunistic and smart player. That forced fumble was at the end of the first half, and it allowed West to go up 28-6 with just 3 minutes remaining.
A player like this shouldn’t go without D3 offers, at the very least. Get this man on a college football team!

- Had a BIG game when I watched him vs. West Catholic
- Very good on both sides of the ball
- Excellent navigation through tight space
- Falls forward
- Never gets tackled head-on (can’t get driven backward)
- Can lay down a shoulder and earn a few extra yards
- Instinctual DB
- Great play speed and physicality defensively
- Good tackling

In reality, there isn’t one player from Zeeland West that’s going to make or break this game. Though, it’s impossible to ignore Keaton’s extremely obvious value.
I’ve said it a lot over the past month- Keaton is excellent on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he’s excellent at finding a hole in the defense and running right through it. Defensively, Keaton plays with excellent play speed and effort. I fully expect Keaton to play a major role in this game!

- Zeeland West’s MVP (IMO)
- Plays with tremendous confidence
- Deceptively elusive on offense. Not the most athletic player, but flat-out knows how to run the football
- Excellent DB; good tackler and great at breaking up passes
- Needs to have a massive day on defense.
- Will get several offensive opportunities; needs to make the most of those opportunities.

My ranking of Keaton looks… Absolutely AWFUL right now.
Look- if I were to rank Keaton now, he’d be in the 200s.
He played out of his mind yesterday. Offensively, Keaton took a ton of carries and consistently earned extra yardage. He isn’t the most athletic or strongest prospect, but he knows how to work with his abilities and plays with tremendous confidence. I mean, the vast majority of RBs with his size never lay down a shoulder and fight for yardage. Keaton not only gave out a some shoulders, but he hit hard and displayed good contact balance.
I haven’t even touched on his defense- he was great in that aspect too. Not the most fundamentally sound DB, but plays with that same excellent play speed and physicality.
Excellent game. Excellent football player. I hope to see Keaton play on Saturdays.

Keaton’s film is hit or miss for me. First off, the highlight at 0:34 is very promising. He picks off the pass via a tip, and showcases very good speed as he brings it to the house. According to Athletic.net, Keaton runs a 23.56 200M, which is decent for a DB but not quite enough for D2+ offers. Otherwise, I really like Keaton’s reactivity and explosiveness when breaking on a football. I am really, really looking forward to seeing Keaton this coming season, and I could 100% see D3 offers come his way soon.
