Trevor is a versatile athlete who can play various positions, including cornerback, outside linebacker and safety. Short has an explosive first step as an edge rusher in passing situations, he has great bend which enables him to run the arch with great speed and he closes like a hawk on the ball carrier. Trevor is disruptive wherever he lines up and he uses proper angles in run support and is an excellent open field tackler. If college programs are looking for a difference maker to attack defensively and be a playmaker, then Short fits that mold. His recent success in guarding top-notch receivers has garnered college interest, with UIW and UTSA reaching out.
