About Trever

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with controlled aggression and relentless effort. I dominate the line of scrimmage using my size, strength, and leverage, finish every block through the whistle, and take pride in protecting my quarterback and opening lanes in the run game. I compete every snap and set the tone with physicality and leadership.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a steady, team-first leader who values discipline, toughness, and consistency. I stay composed under pressure and set the standard through effort and preparation. I am Relentless, accountable, and competitive. I prepare hard, play harder, and never back down from a challenge. My mindset is to outwork and outlast.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

My life is centered around faith, family, football, and meaningful relationships. I volunteer through my church and community outreach programs, giving back whenever I can. These experiences have strengthened my character, discipline, and leadership beyond the game.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through football, church, and community outreach, I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. As an offensive lineman, communication and trust are essential, and I lead by example by putting the team first and holding myself to a high standard every day. I was selected as the summer team lead, and my teammates have already expressed their support for me to serve as a captain.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is learning to lead while also holding myself to a higher standard every day. As an offensive lineman, I’ve had to grow mentally and physically, improve my technique, and stay disciplined even when things don’t go my way. Through adversity and tough competition, I’ve learned resilience, accountability, and how to stay focused on long-term goals.

What type of college are you looking for?

My goal is to compete at the Division I level. I am looking for a program that values discipline, player development, a strong team culture, and academic excellence. I want to earn my spot, compete at a high level, and contribute to a winning program.

Believe it or not, I love when a prospect tells me after one of our showcases “I used my rank as fuel today,” which was the case of Offensive Line MVP Trever Smit Trever Smit Trever Smit 6'6" | 325 lbs | OL/DL Harrisburg | 2027 SD of Harrisburg. Trever is your blue-collar type offensive linemen that thrives by showing off crushing hands that once he gets a hold of his defender. The verified 6’6 315 pounder impressed me with his bend he showed off with that elite offensive linemen size as there were plenty of reps that Trever had that I was intrigued with how low his pad-level could get. He’s surely one that if I were a scholarship-level school, I would surely take a crack at as you also can’t miss with Trever’s work ethic he showed off on every rep last Saturday at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase.

If you are looking for a constant second level road-grader, you might want to meet the XL offensive linemen we just added to our 2027 rankings in Harrisburg’s Trever Smit. the 6’5 315 pounder, has barrelling physical hands that don’t take long to get in position and I can tell you off the first couple clips college recruiters will watch, they should be able to tell very quickly the motor that this kid plays with for his size. Trever is one of the more balanced left tackles at his size with his skillsets, as he can knock you downhill, knock you quickly with his physicality, and has solid footwork for his size. He’s one that I got on late in our 2027 group, and one that I am betting will be a big jumper in this offensive line class here in the coming months.
