About Trae
Expert Analysis
Marcus Henry | Prep Redzone Scout
Hollins passes the eye test, he has broad shoulders, a thick lower half and he has a solid frame. Trae moves well in space, he has excellent quickness from side to side and his ability to change directions quickly allows him to move swiftly laterally. After film review of his 2022 season, defensively, Trae is a OLB/DE hybrid that sets the edge well, he runs well from sideline to sideline and closes like a hawk in pursuit of the ball carrier. Hollins has a non-stop motor and he made plays trailing the ball carrier, hustling to the ball on several plays downfield. As a running back, Hollins is a load, he runs behind his pads, he is a north-south runner, who has the power to break tackles and sprint past defenders. Trae is in the Class of 2023, still seeking a college home, but Hollins picked up an offer from SAGU after the Prospect College Showcase and I expect him to have an opportunity soon to play at the next level.
