. McLeish is equally as polished a passer as McDonald, and the King Philip quarterback might’ve flashed the liveliest arm at the event. Outside of the event, McLeish stands as one of my favorite rising quarterback prospects, and the young man did nothing but verify that personal evaluation. The best build, a frame that carried itself well enough during testing. Consistent motion, and plenty of torque on the football. Looking back almost immediately, McLeish deserved some additional post-event love. That being said, I’m ready to place this young man inside of the top 10 next update. We’ll see who McLeish can hop.

is one of my favorite prospects overall. A lot to like before even watching him complete a pass. Good enough feet and release. Great height/weight combination. McLeish has experience under center, in play action sets too. The junior passer is also seasoned in spread sets out of gun. He’s already seen a variety of system sets that he can claim under his belt. There isn’t too much flash to his name, a reason why I like McLeish as much as I do. The passer could easily rank inside the top 10 with further evaluation. McLeish does all the easy things at a high level, something I can’t always say about QB prospects at this level. Sees the field well, on time with his throws. Delivers an accurate, catchable ball. Hits timing/out-breaking routes really well. His feet are married to his eyes, a huge reason why he’s ready to throw early and often. No problem checking his read-defender and delivering the ball where it’s intended. Not too many vertical heaves, hardly an issue when you’re this successful inside of 30 yards. Plenty of tight-window throws littered across his tape, hits corner routes toward the sideline well. Confident passer nonetheless, one that I’m growing more and more fond of each time I cut on his tape. Guarantee coaches have their eyes on him despite relatively slow recruitment.

” play once again this year was a pleasure. His command presence just can’t be ignored. He is a confident leader that is patient and does a great job on his defensive reads at presnap. His frame is perfect at 6’4″ and he can sling the ball. The game plan didn’t call on his arm a bunch, he did throw for 138 yards on 8 of 16 passing. His accuracy stood out on the completions throughout the night.

The game was a run oriented offensive battle by both teams. But when his name was called to deliver in the passing game, he stepped up and showed his abilities. “McLeish” completed 5 of 9 passes for 89 yards. His composure in the pocket was visible. He has a nice smooth throwing release and accuracy is there. He does get the ball out quickly if he needs to.
