Expert Analysis
Hayden Lindquist | Prep Redzone Scout
Kyyra was the Bombers’ leader in rushing yards and rushing TDs last year, finishing the season with 669 rushing yards and 5 rushing TDs while averaging a great 7.7 ypc in just 8 games. When he’s carrying the rock, Kyyra is a threatening dive back who can take carries between the tackles and turn them into big gains downfield. He is the epitome of a grinder, constantly working and churning his feet to pick up extra yards whenever possible. I love how patient he can be. When the hole hasn’t yet developed, Kyyra does a great job of bouncing to the nearest run lane and gets north/south instantly. He also saw time on defense as a linebacker, where he recorded 23 total tackles. On his defensive tape, Kyrra showcases a relentless motor. He does a great job of preventing blockers from sealing the edge and provides a legit threat when rushing the QB. The sky looks to be the limit for this sophomore prospect.

as a freshman standout in Class 2A, and he’s expected to move toward the top of the pecking order in Cannon Falls’ rushing attack in 2025. Kyyra ran for 378 yards and 2 touchdowns during his freshman year, an impressive total on just 44 touches. A powerful runner who enjoys running through contact, Kyyra was often able to surge up the middle, consistently garnering momentum for forward progress, while also having solid vision and speed to scamper around defenders for extra yardage. Kyyra’s run-style wasn’t flashy, but it was effective, and his reliability in moving the chains for the offense should see itself more often, as Kyyra is slated as the No. 1 RB on Cannon Falls’ roster headed into this season.

saw plenty of reps during his freshman year playing for a loaded backfield, and he proved to run the ball quite effectively for Cannon Falls. Kyyra ran for 378 yards on just 44 carries and 2 touchdowns, with his average of 8.6 yards per carry ranking 2nd best on the team. Kyyra is listed as a fullback, and he runs like a train, bursting through lanes and lowering the shoulder to ram through defenders. Kyyra has solid vision in finding the open gaps and a sneaky amount of speed in the open field. His strength should not be ignored, as he’s already posted some strong numbers, including a 325 lb squat and 315 lb deadlift. Kyyra should continue to seep more carries as he looks to take a step toward being at the forefront of Cannon Falls’ offense in 2025.
