Tim Lewis is a 6’2” TE/DE weighing in at 190-pounds. In the passing game, he has a great feel for the ability to block and release to give his QB that second option to go to. He has the clear-cut capabilities and tools of being a threat in the passing game. He was able to make an impact, especially in the red zone lined up on the outside causing mismatch issues. In the run game, Lewis does an outstanding job at getting his hands in the proper position to control the D and C gaps when a run is directed his way. His natural strength really shows when he has to make a block on the outside. This is a tough TE that likes to get down the field and create space for the intended ball carrier to go the distance. A lot of big runs would happen because he would make an outstanding one on one block in the 2nd level of the defense. Lewis has spent time at DE position as well. His length allows him to separate from blocks and make clean tackles on ball carriers. The ability to lean to one side and slip off to the next granted him the ability to get off blocks at a quick rate.
