Scott Burgess | Prep Redzone Scout
Harkins is a physical 6’0″ 230 pound right guard. Wrestler on the interior with his hand getting defenders to the ground in both the run and pass. Good combo blocks. Solid in pass pro anchoring and with good technique/positioning. Plays with a mean streak.

is a definite name to watch in the developing 2026 OL class. Harkins packs a punch and is strong at the point of attack, especially once he’s engaged and able to drive an opponent backwards, but the initial pop is explosive and sent more than a few defenders flying onto their butts last fall. He’s also mobile, and is more than able to handle quicker defenders in the second level of the field as well as trap and pull across the LOS with efficiency and power, as well as generally find success in a zone blocking scheme. Harkins also has a bit of a mean streak and bully mentality that I love to see in young maulers, and his pop and strength are up there with the best of them in the young crop of lineman. He’s going to be hard to keep off the rankings come next update, especially if he grows and adds some size. Harkins is going to send a lot more kids flying backward and onto their rear ends in the coming years. Go Caravan!
