Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Teeples is a disruptor, finishing the 2025 season with 63 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 12.5 sacks on the season. At 6’4” 265 lbs. he’s a difficult block that opposing offenses have to plan for off the edge. Uses his length to his advantage and plays with a high motor to excel as a pass rusher and make plays at or behind the LOS. Good command and usage of a variety of pass rush moves to beat opponents and fight off blocks. Shows fast and active hands to maintain separation and keep blockers away from his body. Flashes good natural movement skills/bend to chase and redirect to the ball carrier. Aggressive tackler that finishes every snap through the whistle. Tons of upside and potential as he develops.

Teeples is the kind of defender who wins with his brain and his motor, and that combo shows up everywhere — especially when teams try to get cute with screens or misdirection. He’s not fooled easily, he reacts fast, and when he triggers, he’s showing up like he already knew the answer before the offense even asked the question. What stands out is how he understands purpose on each rep: sometimes he’s attacking to get home, sometimes he’s clogging a running lane, sometimes he’s taking on a block just to clear a runway for somebody else to get home — and that unselfishness is a big reason why Canyon View finished with 41 sacks as a whole on the season. When you’ve got a high-IQ edge who can ruin screens, keep leverage against the run, and still close on the QB, that’s a really complete player — and it’s why his impact feels even bigger than the sack total.

delivered one of the biggest defensive moments of the night, blowing up a 4th‑and‑1 in the second half by knifing through and dropping the runner for a loss — the kind of play that normally completely swings the energy in a championship game. He was disruptive all game long, showing that blend of power and quickness that made him such a problem all season, and this matchup was no different. Even as Canyon View’s offense struggled to stay on the field, Teeples kept Desert Mountain from ever getting fully comfortable, forcing tough yards and making them earn every blade of grass. In a title game that turned into a defensive showcase on both sides, his stop stood out as one of the signature moments — a loud reminder of how much talent CV has up front and why this group should walk away with their heads high.

Teeples shows division 1 potential given his size and frame at 6’3″ 225lbs combined with his quickness, speed and all around athleticism. He did a great job playing that 5-tech and 4i-tech to flash a lightning quick initial ball get off and eats up ground quickly on an accurate pursuit angle. Disciplined eyes as well as he played the read option extremely well, knowing when to stay home for a QB keep and when to immediately burst laterally. Violent hands with a nice punch with excellent play strength all around as well.

was the most dominant defensive lineman at the whole showcase. As just a sophomore with an impressive broad frame of 6’4 235lbs, it’s easy to tell he will soon be one of Arizona’s top pass rushers. It is clear he favors bull rushes and power when getting after the QB, however Teeples was able to show his ability to win with speed as well. He displays versatility to be able to rush from the interior or out on the edge. He has impressive bend for his size to dip and work his way around blockers. His ability to use his hands will be a problem for linemen as he is quick at dismissing blockers’ hands and fighting around them to finish on the quarterback. Teeples is a player who is a must watch for next season as he shows the state that he is one of the best.

The second half of the dynamic duo of ’27 Canyon View defensive linemen that showed up to the PRZ Arizona Combine, Tiki Teeples is a long 6’3″ with some good twitch coming off the edge. Showing a nice inside move that proved hard for any of the offensive linemen to stop, he did a great job changing direction to throw them off and then take the opportunity to attack. With his long arms, there were times when Teeples got closer to the linemen than he needed to and that allowed some of the stronger players to get ahold of him. He did a great job to adjust and use a combination of his burst and length to get separation and make a move for the quarterback. A very talented pass-rusher who has room to add some weight to his frame, Teeples is going to be a force on that Canyon View defense.
