If you’re looking for the measurables, Pratt has them. And he knows how to use them. When I watched him against Haslett, I noticed the body control right away. He was able to adjust in the air to make the catch, then readjust to land and continue getting yardage. His QB has the luxury of throwing it in his general direction, and Tommy’s wide catch radius allows him to just go get it over clearly disadvantaged defensive backs. Williamston is on an incredibly run this season, and with weapons like Pratt, it’s hard to see them slowing down any time soon!

I have been fired up to see Pratt play in person in the fall. I have only seen him work at 7 on 7’s and things like that, but to see him on a Friday put a whole new perspective to his game. He was a true playmaker on both sides of the ball and a key contributor to Williamston getting the W.
-Reliable receiver with strong hands, excellent body control and making some impressive leaping catches.
-Uses his height and long arms to be a disruptive DB, as well as a wideout with a wide catch radius.
-Tremendous effort. Got up slow a few times because he absolutely laid his body on the line. Gritty kid who played his heart out.

Is big, plays big.
I don’t know if Thomas is leaning toward playing football or basketball (or both) in college, but his tape suggests he could easily play either.
Most of his tape is from the offensive side of the ball. A few promising highlights as an X receiver. 0:58 shows a phenomenal catch in traffic– love that he caught that ball with his hands and powered through for the TD. 1:08 is the same thing- catches with his hands, beats the DB. 2:22 is a solid curl route followed by good effort after the catch. Finally, 1:17 is another great go route and high-point catch right over a good DB.
Love that Thomas is a “hands catcher” (rather than a body catcher). I also like his effort after the catch. He still needs to work on his route running, especially the shorter routes. I see good upside as an X receiver.
Thomas has fewer highlights on defense, but these plays showcase his physicality a little more. 0:16 is an awesome open-field tackle where the QB makes a good attempt at a stiff-arm, but Thomas fights through it and slams him into the grass. Other than that, not much in terms of highlights, but I’m still intrigued.
I’d be surprised if Thomas doesn’t earn college offers in the coming months, as long as he shows up to camps and competes. Not sure how colleges are going to view him- we’ll have to wait and see.

Strengths
- Great measurables
- Good 50/50 ball winner
- Catches with hands
- Secures tough catches
- Dual-Sport athlete (basketball)
Weaknesses
- Bad competition
- Average athlete
- Sloppy all-around route running
- Zero contact balance
- Bad vision
Pratt could develop into a great receiver at the Division 3 level. Right now, he’s poor – average in all areas except hands & body control. First things first, improvements in athletic explosiveness and route running would make a massive difference.

I’m quite impressed with Thomas’s highlight tape. Although it’s pretty one-dimensional, It’s obvious that Thomas is a great high school wide receiver. Play after play, Thomas is seen running downfield and making a ton of contested catches. He’s able to box out and win difficult catches with more success than the vast majority of wide receivers. Although that is a phenomenal skill, Thomas needs to diversify his highlights moving forward. If that’s how he gets his touches- that’s fine, he’ll just need to prove himself a little more during the offseason. No matter the case, Thomas is a receiver who’s extremely good at what he does, and his size makes for a very high-upside player. I hope Thomas has a breakout season that leads to college offers next Spring!

I may be higher than just about anyone on Pratt right now. He has showed me clear improvement every time I see him, and most recently at the SVSU 7V7 Passing Camp, he was an incredibly dominant force. He’s a long, lanky receiver that makes any jump ball go his way. He has great size and speed and should absolutely be on recruiting boards across the college football landscape.
