Parker’s game is a blast to watch. A physical, hardnosed kid that loves to do the dirty work for his team. Offensively, he does great work with or without the ball. When he gets opportunities through the air, he makes them count with reliable, possessive hands. On the ground, he isn’t afraid to run behind his pads and crash through the line, especially on short yardage situations. He’s also a relentless blocker that delivers some pretty devastating hits.
The devastating hits don’t end on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, Parker plays a physical brand of linebacker and thrives at being that enforcer. Whether he’s lined up outside or slid inside, he reads, reacts and gets to his spot quickly. No wasted movement, but still 100% effort on pursuits. Great kid with a lot of talent that would be a major addition to a college program.
Parker was one of my favorite discoveries last season. In the game I watched in person, Parker was extremely disruptive defensively, racking up TFLs by flat out abusing slower and weaker tackles. He does a great job of diagnosing plays and getting to his spot, breaking down and wrapping up. Offensively, Parker flashed reliable hands and great body control adjusting to jump balls. He was one of Williamston’s spark plugs in 2025, and I believe 2026 will undoubtedly be even better.
Parker had a great game on Friday night on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he was disruptive off of the edge and was able to play physical against the Haslett run game. Offensively, he provided a big spark, especially through the air with some key catches in big spots. Below are some of the notes I took throughout the game.
-Great open field tackles. Breaks down, stays square and wraps up. Avoids lunging and diving.
-Great play recognition. Multiple TFLs just from diagnosing the play and flying to his spot.
-Great hands and YAC abilities. Great hands and body control, and uses some vision and speed to make guys miss and grab extra yardage.
