Del City senior linebacker Tango McCauley Tango McCauley 6'2" | 245 lbs | LB Del City | 2023 State OK is a 2023 prospect that we’ve liked for a long time at the linebacker position. He’s lined up at both linebacker and along the defensive line but we think that his future is brightest as a linebacker. He was part of a Del City defense that was full of not only D1 but power five talent at the three levels of the defense. McCauley committed and then signed with Coffeyville CC. We think that McCauley will have the chance to be a JuCo transfer later on in his career. McCauley has continued to get better and better every season.

We wrote about this during the summer when looking at the Del City Eagles and specifically their defense. The Eagles adding move in Tango McCauley Tango McCauley 6'2" | 245 lbs | LB Del City | 2023 State OK was massive in terms of helping their defense, especially at the linebacker position. McCauley has been one of the best linebackers in the state over the last few seasons and that’s continued this year. McCauley has lined up at times closer to the line of scrimmage but when it comes to projecting him as a prospect, he’s a linebacker all the way. We’re looking forward to seeing the opportunities he gets with his senior tape making the rounds.

There were plenty of transfers and moves across the state this offseason and one of them that certainly helped Del City was the addition of former John Marshall standout Tango McCauley Tango McCauley 6'2" | 245 lbs | LB Del City | 2023 State OK . After the Eagles left star 2024 prospect David Stone to the IMG Academy in Florida, the front seven took a hit. McCauley is a defensive lineman/linebacker hybrid that has helped soften the blow of that hit so far this season. He had a fantastic last few seasons with John Marshall and has the chance to really have an impact on this Del City defense. Whether it’s as a traditional linebacker or lining up at the other side of the defensive line, away from Foreman, McCauley could be an impact player for the Eagles. He had a strong start to his senior season last week in the win over Choctaw and will give the Hornets yet another top prospect to worry about on the Del City defense.
