His concentration with the ball in the air is next-level. Whether defenders were glued to him or trying to catch up, he tracked and snagged just about everything thrown his way. And when the ball hits his hands? It’s staying there. Stokes has some of the most dependable mitts you’ll find at the high school level. He didn’t need a ton of touches to make a big impact — just give him a shot, and he made it count.

At 6’2″ and 180 pounds, Stokes excels at fighting through defenders and making plays after the catch. His ability to break tackles and turn short receptions into big gains makes him a constant threat on the field. When he has to work around the sideline he shows that he has the finesse needed to make acrobatic catches. As one of the top playmakers in the 2025 class, his physicality and run-after-catch ability set him apart as a true game-changer.

Explosive playmaker on both sides of the ball at WR and DB for Yuma Catholic. He’s a gifted athlete at 6’1” 180 lbs. that can stretch the field vertically as a deep threat and use his leaping ability to attack the ball at the high point. Shows great body control and coordination as he times out his jump to go over the top of defenders. Confident hand catcher of the football that extends and doesn’t allow the ball to get into his body. In the secondary, he possesses good instincts and anticipation to make quick reads and break on the ball. He’s aggressive and always in the right spot to make big plays. Finished the 2023 season with almost 1,000 receiving yards on only 47 receptions with 10 touchdowns. Also added seven interceptions on defense while being named All-Arizona Honorable Mention and the 4A Two-Way Player of the Year. One of the more slept on 2025 recruits in the state and has the ability for his recruiting to take off as he enters his senior year.

He’s very naturally athletic which allows him to play loose in the back end of the defense and take time reading the quarterback. Stokes is a very reactionary player and it’s a huge advantage for him in zone coverage. Being able to rely on his good instincts puts him in the right place at the right time. Though being reactionary can often cause problems in man-to-man coverage, his athletic ability helps him to recover well in those situations and it seems to be a non-issue. Stokes is a player to watch closely as he works through his senior year with Yuma Catholic.
