Breakout junior year for Amon flashing efficiency and explosiveness taking 38 receptions for 912 yards and 12 touchdowns. 6’1” 165 lbs. he’s got good length in his frame and room to add mass without sacrificing his speed/movement skills. He’s a plus route runner that creates leverage with good use of stems and head fakes at the top. Shows he can drop his hip level and accelerate out of the break. Long speed allows him to excel as a vertical threat that can stretch the defense and win the 50/50 ball by timing out his jump and extending at the catch point. He’s a natural hands catcher and is reliable to make plays in space or in traffic. Straight line speed and a sustained second gear give him the ability to make plays after the catch. High level competitor who is trending up going into his senior year.
Playmaker with production. 🎯

Amon was a consistent big play threat for Yuma Catholic as a junior taking just 38 receptions for 912 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 24 yards per catch. He’s a savvy athlete that easily separates from coverage with creative route running and deceptive speed. Flashes a hard drive phase to threaten the DB’s cushion early in the play. Calculated with his release moves, he knows how to set up defenders in press coverage and avoid contact to maintain his route line and timing. Strong at the catch point, he’s confident with his hands and doesn’t allow the ball to get into his body. Excels after the catch where he can use his speed and elusiveness to breakaway from defenders and finish in the endzone. He’s a tough cover and expect to see another big productive season from him as a senior.
