I’m well acquainted with the game of Seth. He just moved down to Illinois from Wisconsin where I was able to take in one of his games in person this past fall. The 6′ 180 lbs CB is as good as I have seen over the years in WI. He oozes confidence in his abilities, and his tape gives him good reason to feel that way. Seth is explosive out of his backpedal when he has to trigger downhill. He has a strong burst when closing on the ball or a tackle. The junior is able to efficiently flip his hips and run deep downfield while staying in his man’s hip pocket. You can put this kid out on a man and be confident he will be glued at the hip to him through the route.

Seth had a solid overall night. He was a key contributor on offense, defense, and special teams. On offense, the WR used his speed and elusiveness to give Hortonville their biggest play of the game, and first score of the season. On special teams the 6′ ATH was the returner. You could see he had the field vision to be able to set up blocks and the speed to springboard those blocks into good returns. On defense Valeri had the hardest task of the day. He was assigned to essentially follow Nordgaard around the field. Langdon is always going to get his production, but seeing the confidence Seth played with to do the job has me confident he can play DB at a higher level. At DB we got to see more traits. Seth has good change of direction laterally, and transitions smoothly from backpedal to attacking to make a play on the ball or tackle the WR. Valeri was also a very good tackler out in space. Seth has a bright future.
