Stewart’s raw numbers don’t jump off the page, but that has some to do with the fact that he’s rarely tested at corner. He’s a talented cover guy who can match receivers in man or put himself in excellent positions with his zone awareness. We’re looking forward to what could be an excellent senior season for the HPCA star.
Stewart is a highly instinctive corner who completely locked down one side of the field for state-champion HPCA. He has excellent change-of-direction and can break on balls quickly to make plays. I’m interested to see if he continues to grow in stature, as his instincts and technique are excellent.
Stewart’s stats are pedestrian and his film is excellent, but boring at times. Why? Because Stewart absolutely locked down opposing receivers and he wasn’t tested all that often. While probably frustrating for him, it was more frustrating for opposing offenses that simply couldn’t throw the ball his direction.
