I’m interested to see what Krider can do with an increase in workload. He only had about six carries per game, but still ran for nearly 750 yards, scoring 15 touchdowns as a spell back. HPCA loses its workhorse, so there are plenty of available opportunities within the offensive structure this year for a guy who has worked hard to add weight and become a starter.

Krider could easily end the season atop this list, as he averaged over 10 yards per carry last year as a spell back for a Power Four signee who had over 300 touches. This year, Krider should step into that lead-back role, and his speed and wiggle could help him put up massive numbers. I also expect Krider to continue his impressive work in the weight room. In past years, he’s put on great weight while adding plenty of speed.

Krider is a guy we’ve followed for a few seasons, but he just made his way into the rankings following a strong start to the year at HPCA. He’s working well on limited touches, averaging over seven yards a carry. He’s flashed good vision and breakaway speed that will help him at the next level.

Krider is a bit undersized, but he’s extremely difficult to square up. Defenders in the open field rarely get to wrap him up, meaning they have to rely on arm tackles, which he’s shown the strength to break. He has great acceleration, even at the snap, and he’s able to start and stop at will. He’s slippery, and that led to a strong junior year, worthy of a move up our rankings.

Krider plays much bigger than his frame would suggest and he’s physical, even with more of a scat back build. His combination of size, speed, and acceleration is impressive and it’s nice to see that he’s getting more reps after playing well in limited action as a sophomore. He’s grown into the season as it’s progressed and was fantastic against East Rowan in Week 2.

Krider put up good numbers last season, but didn’t get many touches over the course of the season in a backup role. Still, he averaged over 7.5 yards a carry and showed off some impressive shiftiness and skill in the open field. Even more impressive is that even at his size, he was able to excel between the tackles. After putting on some more weight in the offseason, he should have the opportunity to get more consistent carries.
