Expert Analysis

Coming into this season, Crayton looked his best at receiver. However, he has truly stood out of the defensive side of the ball this season. Crayton is a true ball hawk as a defensive back as he has shown the ability to break on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. He has come away with three interceptions so far this season, returning two of them for touchdowns. Crayton has also shown the ability to make tackles in the open field and he has 15 tackles so far. Santana currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee State, and I expect more to come his way as he is an impressive athlete that could play multiple positions at the next level.

Another electric athlete that stood out to me this past week was Santana Crayton Santana Crayton 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Pleasure Ridge Park | 2024 State KY from Pleasure Ridge Park. Crayton played a key role in PRP’s victory over Bullitt East. While he shines on both sides of the ball, Crayton stood out the most on defense this past week. Santana was very impressive in the secondary against Bullitt East, showing great ball skills. He finished the game with three interceptions. Crayton also showed the ability to make plays after the interception, returning two for touchdowns. Santana currently holds offers from Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee State, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber prospect that could play multiple positions at the next level.

Santana Crayton Santana Crayton 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Pleasure Ridge Park | 2024 State KY is another wide receiver that I’m expecting to have a big senior year. He was the WR2 in the PRP offense last season behind senior Jakob Dixon Jakob Dixon 6'5" | 200 lbs | WR Pleasure Ridge Park | 2023 State KY but still caught 29 passes for 478 yards and seven touchdowns. Crayton has very explosive speed which he uses to run right by defenders to create separation in the deep passing game. He is also electric with the ball in his hands, using his speed to run away from the defense after the catch. Crayton has also shown that he has the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. He also scored one rushing touchdown and returned four punts for touchdowns this past season. Santana doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way during his senior year as he has received some college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

To wrap up my 2022 6A Regular Season All-State Offense, I have a player that did a little bit of everything for his team this season. Santana Crayton Santana Crayton 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Pleasure Ridge Park | 2024 State KY jumped onto my radar this year with a very impressive junior regular season. He was at his best at receiver, finishing the regular season with 27 catches for 476 yards and seven touchdowns in nine games. Crayton has elite speed which he uses to run right by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He is also very electric after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes and screens into big plays. Crayton also showed some ability as a ball carrier, finishing the regular season with eleven carries for 26 yards a touchdown. He also showed that he is a very dangerous returner on special teams, returning four punt returns for touchdowns this season. Santana doesn’t currently hold any official offers but has been receiving interest from multiple Division I programs and has the talent to be an elite play maker at the next level.
