Jakob Dixon Jakob Dixon 6'5" | 200 lbs | WR Pleasure Ridge Park | 2023 State KY is a player that jumped onto my radar quickly this season and established himself as the most talented senior wide receiver in the state. Dixon had an impressive senior year, catching 64 passes for 1,089 yards and 15 touchdowns. He is a very dangerous threat in the deep passing game as he has the speed to run right by opposing defensive backs to create separation. Dixon also has shown the ability to make plays after the catch. He has the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field while also using his speed to run away from the defense. I also liked what I saw from Dixon as a blocker as he is very physical and does a great job of driving his man out of the picture. Jakob is committed to Kentucky where I can see him developing into a key contributor on offense.

Past Analysis: It is pretty easy to understand why Jakob Dixon is ranked #2 in our state rankings for the wide receiver position. The young man is built like a younger Calvin Johnson, who possesses a superb leaping ability when catching balls over his head. What is astonishing about Jakob is his strength when not receiving the ball. There are clips of him bringing down opposing DBs when making a block, which is something I never see out of a wide receiver. The young man also has excellent route-running skills, and his quick footwork helps him make impressive jukes on opposing DBs to create open space. Not to mention, Jakob ran a 4.50 on his 40yd dash, which shows his stellar speed on the field.
End of Season: Jakob finished out his senior season strong, coming up with 64 receptions for 1,089 receiving yards & 15 receiving touchdowns for his Pleasure Ridge Park High School squad. Jakob, one of the highest receiver prospects in the state, did not disappoint this season as he was able to make highly contested catches with little difficulty. One of Dixon’s notable traits is his pure physique & athleticism which he uses to his advantage to become a highly rated prospect. Along with Jakob’s build is his ability to get high in the air to grab a catch, and he can catch about almost anything as if his hands are like glue. He is fully committed to the University of Kentucky, and I see him building a good college career in Lexington.

Jakob Dixon Jakob Dixon 6'5" | 200 lbs | WR Pleasure Ridge Park | 2023 State KY has exploded onto the recruiting scene in the past couple seasons and continued to make a name for himself this past weekend. Dixon caught four passes for 161 yards and a touchdown. He showed the elusiveness in the open field to make defenders miss and pick up big plays after the catch. Dixon also showed the speed to run by defenders in the deep passing game. I was also impressed with his blocking as he was a very willing and physical blocker in the run game. While he impressed all game with the ball in his hand, Jakob made perhaps the coolest play of the weekend as he had a clear second touchdown and handed the ball off to his offensive lineman so that he could score. Dixon is committed to Kentucky and I see him developing into a very good receiver for them once he gets there.
