I was able to watch Sam in person this season, and came away impressed with his talent and the potential a college coach could tap into. Watching his Week 8 highlights I see an OL who is continuing to get even better. The senior has a prototypical frame with height/weight/length needed to play at the college level. The big man is a man mover with his wide, powerful base and strong upper body. In the run game it was impressive watching his displace DL by yards on a play to play basis. The 290 lbs OT can move too. He flashes quick feet when looking to win the body position battle or when getting out to an edge rusher in pass pro. The pieces are there in this kid’s toolbox. He needs a ton more eyes on him.

Our final standout was senior OT Samuel Hanke Samuel Hanke 6'5" | 300 lbs | OL Oregon | 2026 State WI . Hanke was one of the top athletes I wanted to see coming into the day. He looks the part at 6’5″ 285 lbs with long arms. The senior was light on his feet, giving him very effective range. Sam could quickly get depth on his pass set to cut off speed rushers attacking the edge. I was able to watch him quickly change direction in those situations too. Samuel also set himself apart with his range in the run game. We saw his ability to attack LBs and secure running lanes through the second level. Samuel also impressed with his power. Multiple times he quickly overpowered the DL and drove them up to level two. Samuel is a need to know recruit in the Class of 2026.

I was jacked up to see fresh film from the Oregon OL Samuel Hanke Samuel Hanke 6'5" | 300 lbs | OL Oregon | 2026 State WI . The senior was on our Watch List, and the wait was worth it. Samuel has a very impressive frame with length and he carries is 275 lbs extremely well. The high-end size isn’t the only impressive trait. Samuel has that dancing bear play style. Able to move, slide, mirror, or get to the second level very quickly and while doing it always be loaded up with power to maul a defender at any instant. I love that you see him constantly looking for work too. If his man drops then he wastes no time finding somewhere else to punish for that play. Samuel is looking like a massive steal in the Class of 2026. You need to check out his tape.
