Stats: 5 Tackles, 1 PBU

I have been a huge fan of the way Kaiden plays defense, and it was awesome to watch it in person. Kaiden best fits at DB at the next level, but he plays LB for Oregon. That is fine because Kaiden is an ultra-physical defender who can handle playing in the front seven. Even at 180 lbs. Kaiden is one of the best tacklers among DBs. He seems to acerbate through contact and blows up ball carriers. We also got to see some of his range in coverage as he did well picking up the RB and running deep downfield with him to break up a pass. Don’t sleep on the tone setting DB.

The ILB out of Oregon HS is a versatile playmaker. He can be a physical defender that hits ball carriers with punishing power. Power that instantly ends forward progression. Then the next play he is in coverage showing off how suddenly he can move side to side and then accelerate. Kaiden has strong instincts, flowing with plays and doing a great job of meeting the ball at the line of scrimmage without getting hung up in traffic against the run game. While he doesn’t have the size for the next level, yet, Kaiden brings the right mindset and athleticism for the position. Give him time and he will be a difference maker.

We end with an intriguing athlete at the LB position. Kaiden brings the physicality to the field. He drops the hammer when he tackles, running through the man and putting them down hard. Kaiden also displays impressive range to roam the field in coverage and when pursuing the ball downfield. Kaiden does well playing in space. He closes quickly, can tackle 1 on 1, and he has the athleticism to be able to be out there vs RBs, TEs, and WRs. He has a future as a safety/LB hybrid. Check out the highlight reel.
