Byington is another bruising back that does his damage in-between the tackles at almost 200 pounds and holds a College of Idaho offer. He is a tough downhill runner that looks for contact in the hole, can catch the ball out of the backfield and shows some cutback abilities/can bounce it outside when needed with the speed to gain the edge on linebackers. He is a very well built kid that has played a ton of varsity reps for Meridian over the course of his career, and should be able to find a home at the next level at multiple positions on either side of the ball. He should be in line for a big night tonight as Meridian squares off in a championship game against Eagle.
