He stands 6’2 inches tall and looks every bit of it in his film. On defense, Washington moved him all over the field. He lined up as a stand-up outside linebacker one play and then the next as a deep safety. The thing is Gordon is such a good athlete he could do both. He is a good tackler and shows it in the open field where he tackles well. Gordon on offense played wide receiver and used a great combination of speed and size to make plays. Gordon is a legit College Football prospect. It has been quiet on his Twitter, but he does have an Ohio University offer.

Gordon is too fast on the outside in 2A football. He’s the go-to guy when the Prexies need a play downfield in the passing game. He’s not just a deep threat but a threat in general, scoring in a variety of ways in 2023. His afterburners are of the D1 level. Not only has Gordon showcased his speed this season, but his toughness can be seen when he breaks to make a tackle. He isn’t afraid to hit anybody with the ball. I’d be surprised if there is any DB that truly matches up with Ruben at the 2A level. He runs a 4.33 40-yard dash and a 10.8 100-meter dash.

Gordon reminds me a ton of Durrell Cesaer from a YAC and build perspective. Gordon is lanky, yet can separate with DBs downfield because of this long stride. Gordon can beat you from any alignment, up the seam, down the sideline, you name it. This might be a hidden gem out west.
