He was used as a running, wide receiver, and defensive back at Neuman-Goretti and he scored at all 3 positions. He also flashes elite cover skills as a defensive back. Prescott is a legit College Football prospect. He was committed to Wisconsin but decommitted there, so he will eventually find a home.
Sam Cooper Sam Cooper 5’11” | 185 lbs | ATH Conwell-Egan | 2024 State PA is another dynamic athlete. Every time he touches the ball he can take it to the house. Cooper is a fluid and fast athlete who can play multiple positions in college. I can see him playing either wide receiver or defensive back at the next level. We will see which position he ends up in, but no matter what he is a fluid athlete that can do a lot of different things on the football field at either side of the ball. Cooper is a legit College Football prospect, so just a matter of time before he commits to play College Football.
Ruben Gordon Ruben Gordon 6’2″ | 170 lbs | ATH Washington | 2024 State PA is a ridiculous athlete. He has a great combination of athletic ability and size. He stands 6’2 inches tall and looks every bit of it in his film. On defense, Washington moved him all over the field. He lined up as a stand-up outside linebacker one play and then the next as a deep safety. The thing is Gordon is such a good athlete he could do both. He is a good tackler and shows it in the open field where he tackles well. Gordon on offense played wide receiver and used a great combination of speed and size to make plays. Gordon is a legit College Football prospect. It has been quiet on his Twitter, but he does have an Ohio University offer.
Mikey Crawford Mikey Crawford 6’3″ | 185 lbs | ATH Lincoln Park PACS | 2024 State PA is a nasty and tough cornerback. He is a good athlete who shows off legit cover skills. What stands out about his film is he is a good combination of athleticism and physical ability. He can do it all on the defensive end of the field. Crawford is equally as good as a press-man corner as he is a cover corner in zone coverage. Crawford also played wide receiver and showed good ability to get open and catch the ball. Crawford looks like he is a cornerback in College and he can play it at a high level.
Mason Semmel Mason Semmel 6’3″ | 210 lbs | ATH Hamburg | 2024 State PA is a good player who played as a tight end/slot receiver for Hamburg last year. He is a good match-up piece for an offense. He has good hands and runs excellent routes. He is very good on 50/50 balls where he usually comes down with the catch. He can be used as a flex tight end, a slot receiver, or a wingback. All 3 he shows good ability to block and catch the ball. Semmel recently got an offer from East Stroudsburg University, which be a good fit for Semmel.
Braylon Thomas Braylon Thomas 6’2″ | 180 lbs | ATH Union Area | 2024 State PA played quarterback for Union Area but projects as an athlete in college. He is a fluid athlete that runs very well. He is tough to bring down in the open field and he is an elusive runner. He has good speed and runs by defenders. His film also includes kickoff returns and he flashes good skills at this as well. His film didn’t include any defense, but I could see him playing defense if he committed to it in College. Thomas is a good prospect and with the right College, he could be a dynamic weapon as a receiver or running back.
Terrell James Terrell James 6’0″ | 180 lbs | ATH Taylor Allderdice | 2024 State PA is an electric running back who can score every time he touches the ball. He has legit speed and when he gets to the open field, he just runs past defenders. James also flashes a physical running style between the tackles and will not go down. He does a nice job hitting the hole making people miss and then getting to the next level. James is a difference-making type of a running back and should be able to play College Football at some level.
Ijaaz Abdul-Malik Ijaaz Abdul-Malik 6’2″ | 205 lbs | ATH Episcopal Academy | 2024 State PA is an elite athlete who made plays on defense for Episcopal Academy. He played both as a stand-out defense end and as a linebacker. At both positions, he flashed elite athleticism. He showed an ability to make plays all over the field. At the stand-up defensive end he did a nice job of keeping contain and going upfield and making plays. He was good at knocking down balls and creating pressure. As linebacker, he does a good job of running sideline-to-sideline to make plays. Abdul-Malik is a raw elite but he belongs to a College Football program that can unleash his potential.
Highlights
Dontay Green Dontay Green 6’4″ | 180 lbs | ATH Lincoln Park | 2024 State PA is a good athlete who played wide receiver and defensive back for Lincoln Park. He does a nice job at wide receiver catching the ball in traffic between defenders. He also excels at catching the ball when it is in the air, in particular when it is a 50/50 ball. Green as a defender played safety and did nice job playing the centerfield and making plays on the ball. He had several interceptions by reading the eyes of the quarterback and making plays on the ball. Green is a solid and fluid athlete who should have a chance at playing College Football, probably at the Division 2 level.
Trevor Evans Trevor Evans 6’2″ | 185 lbs | ATH Warwick | 2024 State PA played quarterback and safety last year for Warwick. He projects as a safety or wide receiver at the next level. At safety, he can play in the box safety or as a deep safety. At both positions, he shows good cover skills and he can come up and make good tackles in the open field. He gets his hands on a lot of balls and breaks up a ton of passes. As a wide receiver, he did not play that position last year, but he is more than capable of playing it. He is a good athlete who showed it off when he ran the ball a lot from the quarterback position. Evans is another kid who looks like a Division 2 prospect to play College Football.
