Romello Cooper Romello Cooper 6'3" | 225 lbs | EDGE Chelsea | 2025 State AL helped bolster Chelsea’s defense in so many ways over the last few years, but nothing compares to how dominant he was in his senior season last fall- he was near unstoppable. Cooper is extremely disruptive both as a pass rusher and against the run- he completely overwhelms offensive linemen with his speed and strength and can frequently generate pressure, set the edge, and make plays. Cooper is a really strong tackler as well- he does a great job pursuing and wrapping up, never allowing for any big gains. Cooper has developed into a really talented force on the line of scrimmage- be sure to watch his tape below, he put together some really great film from this past season. Watch out for him at the next level, he will be a really good player for Samford’s defense!
