Stats: 4 Receptions, 67 Yards, 2 TDsrnComing into the season, I tabbed Waunakee as the top pass catching duo in the state. They proved it during the D2 Championship Game. UCLA is getting a legitimate receiving threat in TE commit Rob Booker. He is a long athlete with a huge catch radius, soft hands, and the athleticism to pick up big chunks after the catch as well as run away from LBs to open up separation before the catch. Robert is a smooth athlete that has the potential to develop into a mismatch target at the FBS level.

Back on January 31 TE1 announced that he was going to be staying home to play for the home state Badgers. He is going to be such an exciting playmaker to watch develop. He has an elite frame at 6’6″ 220 lbs. The long athlete has very soft hands that allow him to maximize that length. As a receiver, Robert checks off all the boxes. He has the body control to be able to adjust to the ball in the air. If it is within his catch radius he finds a way to come down with it. Despite being a long strider, Booker is able to get into and out of his breaks quickly. After the catch, Robert is a tough tackle. He has the speed to go the distance, has a strong stiff arm, and will lower the shoulders to pick up the yards after the catch. Badgers fans should be very excited to watch Booker in the new Badgers offense.

Stats: 3 Receptions, 32 YardsrnRobert is a special talent at the TE position. In just his first season of consistent varsity TE snaps, Booker has caught the eyes of D1 coaches. The 6’7″ 215 lbs TE has earned offers from Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Kansas, Minnesota, and Iowa State. It is easy to see what has them excited. On top of the elite frame, Robert has potentially the best overall body control on a pound for pound basis. All of his movements look effortless. He gets off the line easily and he gets out of the breaks of his routes without losing speed. That speed allows him to stretch the field, and his huge wingspan allows him to easily pluck the ball out of the air away from defenders. Booker’s receiving talents are special. One of WI’s top prospects.
