For the past few offseason, one of my favorite things to see is the impressive lifts of

. Like the time he took 500 lbs for 10 clean reps. Robby also was our natural selection for this part of the DL build because of how well you can see that strength translate to the field. Watch through his senior highlights and you will see him control the line of scrimmage, hold his ground, collapse the pocket with a bull rush, or toss his IOL to the side on his way to making a tackle. We need our perfect DL to be able to hold his ground or win with power. Give him Robby’s power and we are set at that building block.

. There are several teams already lined up for his talents including offers from Mankato, Bemidji State, Winona State, Duluth, Sioux Falls, Augustana, and Northern State. On tape Robby has to get a lot of OL coaches at the next level excited.
The 280 lbs prospect does a great job of creating power on contact. He is quick out of his stance and right when that first strike of his hands land you see defenders react. Usually in them being quickly driven off the ball in the run game. Robby does a great job of getting hands inside and playing with good knee and ankle bend to get underneath his opponent in a position of power. The big, strong OG is also agile. Robby easily pulls across the formation and again creates power as soon as he hits his target and is able to stick on them through the play. This kid is a technically sound tone setter.

If you read our MVP article from earlier this week then you know how great Robby performed. The powerful, technically sound junior IOL proved that he has worked on his craft and been well coached. He showed so many traits you look for in a high end next level OG prospect. The link to our complete deep dive is right HERE.

Teams recruiting WI and looking for IOL help need to get to Waterford HS. Robby has been consistently getting better and better, and what he showed Sunday was very impressive. Robby looks the part at 6’2″ 280 lbs, and more importantly, plays the part of a high level OG. The junior was a technician that stood out from the crowd during positional drills. The big man is able to comfortably play with a wide base, and low pad level while staying square and balanced over his feet. His knee and ankle flexibility allowed him to win the leverage battle in one on ones, and his anchor was very strong, standing up IDL all day long. Robby showed that he has the lateral agility needed to mirror pass rushers that don’t just try to bull rush also. His hand use jump out too, consistently staying tight inside on the chest of his man. It was a great day for the OG. The arrow is pointing up for him.

An athlete new to my radar after the Showcase was the sophomore guards out of Waterford. The 6’2′ 275 lbs lineman has some solid trait building blocks to build off of as he becomes an upperclassman. The trait that stood out most was his strength. To play along the interior you need to prove you can be stout in pass protection, and be able to walk the biggest defenders off the line in the run game. I came away impressed with that stoutness in pass protection on Saturday. Robby was able to get his hands on quickly, gain control while sinking his hips, and then mirror the defender as he tried to get around him because he couldn’t get through him. We saw those same wins over and over from the two way All Conference athlete. Robby made himself an athlete to know going forward. I’m excited to see how dominant he can become as he further develops his technique from his feet to his hands.
The most exciting part is that after coming away impressed with Robby at the Showcase I went to his 2022 film. You see these same traits in game action. A strong upper body, solid lateral agility, and a stout anchor. I will have my eyes on Robby going forward, and I’m excited to get him added to the 2025 Rankings.
