One thing holds true with each of these prospects, there is certainly a home on Saturdays for everyone as in my second year of attending the The Line Iowa, I swear more college programs need to make it a stop on their road, because the prospect level keeps getting better.
Wisconsin Prospects:
Tanner Phelps Tanner Phelps 6'3" | 230 lbs | ATH Greenfield | 2024 State WI , DL, Greenfield (WI) (2024) Twitter
- Tanner was the first prospect to catch my eyes at the The Line Iowa Showcase, as this young man moved with such instinctive rotation with his body control and balance from the early reps I caught last Saturday in West Des Moines.
- He showed off a huge plethora of agility when you got to watch his first step to the ball as the elusiveness in his nearly 6’4 230 pound body
- The biggest skillset I loved about Tanner throughout The Line Iowa Showcase was just how much better he got in every rep I got to watch from the start of the showcase to the end, as you can tell that he is a defensive end that applies the coaching he’s given to his game and is rapidly quick learner what he’s given from a coaching perspective. A+ character too that should entice several Division I suitors when he steps on campus for prospect camps and a 32 ACT and 4.1 GPA academically will certainly help his case as well at the next-level.
Robby Kedrowicz Robby Kedrowicz 6'2" | 280 lbs | OL Waterford Union | 2025 State WI , OL, Waterford (WI)(2025) Twitter
- Robby was another prospect that stood out for me with his first look early at The Line Iowa Showcase, as I loved watching the balance this young man showed with his feet in the early going of the showcase.
- He showed off an underclassmen that from a technique standpoint was a offensive line prospect that you can tell played with explosiveness when I watched him record a 1.66 in the 10 yard dash and grew more efficent getting to the 20, with only 1.28 seconds (2.94) which showed me how damaging this kid must be on tape when he gets to the second level of the field with his physicality.
- When we got into 1v1s, Robby showed off that consistent balance I saw early with his footwork, as he was consistent on every rep I got to watch with balance, even with his hands too with his striking ability, and showed off a blue-collar work ethic that gives his all on every rep. Robby is certainly a 2025 offensive guard that will have some scholarship-level opportunities playing on Saturdays.
Pierce Weber Pierce Weber 6'7" | 285 lbs | OL Greendale | 2025 State WI , DL, Greendale (WI) (2025) Twitter
- Pierce is a 6’6 nearly 270 pound defensive end, that looked like a grown-man from my eye test from The Line Iowa Showcase and he showed off some finesse in the reps I got to watch on Saturday.
- This young man showed off a motor the size of Texas with his release on his first step in 1v1s and recorded a 1.66 in the 10 yard and closed the gap in the 20 yard with a 1.27 between 10 and 20 with a 2.93 in the 20 yard which just shows you how athletic this kid is off the snap.
- Pierce has some brewing development going into prospect camp season with developing his hand aggression and utilization of his hands, but with that being side I love the upside Pierce will produce this summer as a 2025 prospect I still feel you could add frame to him with the length he brings to the table at the next-level playing on Saturdays. It’s wild to me that Pierce still has two years left of high school football.
Iowa Prospects:
Ramez Naba, DL, West Des Moines Valley (IA) (2024) Twitter
- Ramez was another defensive line prospect that from my eyes, got better with every rep he was given on Saturday at The Line Iowa Showcase, as he followed up his impressive performance I caught at the Seneca Wallace Combine I was at earlier this summer where I watched intensively how much strength this kid had just in the bench-press alone.
- Ramez measured some of the biggest hands we saw in West Des Moines and I thought he had improved vastly from a month ago with the balance of his footwork and showed more flexibility in his change of direction too.
- He plays at Valley on both sides of the ball so he has the position flexibility, but with the instinct he shows off on tape and with the growing frame I have seen get stronger within the last month, he is an ideal fit in my eyes as a nose tackle at the next-level as I would put Ramez down as a stockriser in our 2024 class out of Iowa.
Braylon Edwards, OL, Cedar Rapids Prairie (IA) 2025 Twitter
- Braylon was a offensive guard prospect that you can tell in the early reps, that although his testing numbers might not have been the most savvy, he made up for his with the flexibility I saw when I watched him work his footwork with his change of direction and had the good speed out of his turn that caught my eyes early.
- He showed off as a prospect with good consistency with his pad level that I witnessed in his Indy drills and the tape shows a offensive guard that is a road-grader that can press his man to the second level with the solid strength and leverage he showed off.
- That above bullet point proved off some truth, as Braylon got from 10 to 20 in 1.27 seconds which shows off to me a offensive line prospect that also could see upside coming his way as an upfront blocker from a pull block. With two more years left of HS ball, Braylon will be a hog molly to watch for out of Cedar Rapids for sure.
Max Shelton, OL, Dowling Catholic (IA) 2024 Twitter
- For a prospect that plays the offensive center position, Max intrigued me in the earlier reps with the hip flexibility with that change of direction, as you could tell that Max is a prospect that plays with good instinction that can turn on a dime and still provide the great physicality you want in the middle of your offensive line.
- Max also recorded one of the top 10 yards on Saturday at The Line Iowa Showcase, with a significant burst of 1.60 and the 1.24 into his 20 yard was also one of the smaller gaps amongst offensive linemen on Saturday.
- He might not be the biggest offensive linemen you will ever see, but with the block to the whistle this young man brings to the table and an efflcent twitch in his first step, it looks like Dowling Catholic has an offensive linemen that college programs cannot wait to get him in their weight room, as there is a lot of frame left they can build on him to play on Saturdays.
Zach Vance, DL, Clear Creek-Amana (IA) 2024 Twitter
- Zach is an Iowa prospect I have watched on tape recently from a evaluation, and although an undersized defensive end, he showed off a significant twitch by showing off one of the best pro agilties of the day and was in the top three in testing in the L-Drill.
- I also loved how well Zach took coaching at The Line Iowa Showcase, as you could tell very quickly that he’s a prospect that wants to develop his skillsets with good attention to detail to take him to the next-level, which he certainly checks my boxes with that football IQ in his game.
- Zach on tape is a prospect that has a twitchy downhill motor with his point of attack and shows off some quick shedding ability in his nearly 6’0 220 pound frame. Zach is certainly a defensive end prospect with his work ethic and that big motor you go outside of the measureables threshold for, as he still has frame left to grow with great upside for playing on Saturdays.
