He threw for 72 yards and three touchdowns on just four completions, while also rushing for 71 yards, showcasing his dual-threat ability. Jones added five tackles on defense, contributing in all phases of the game and playing a key role in Philip Barbour’s playoff victory.

Jones intercepted 3 Buckhannon-Upshur passes in their week two 32-0 shutout victory. He’s one of the leaders in interceptions in the state through the first two weeks of the 2024 season having also picked off a pass in their week one game against Grafton. Jones will be a prospect to follow for the rest of the season and beyond as he can also play quarterback for the Colts in the future and has clear athletic potential early on.
