Armstrong has stepped into a bigger role on both sides of the ball this year for his FRA team and has exceeded expectations by establishing himself as one of the squad’s top overall playmakers. Whether it’s at receiver or in the secondary, Armstrong has flashed big play abilities that translates to either side of the ball and the great thing about this guy is that he still has higher levels to go in his game. When you look into Armstrong, you see a physically well built young man that has the look to contend on the Power Four stage. He is a good athlete too that runs well, showing good speed in the open field and the strength to break through would-be tacklers. The Panthers sophomore is thumper as well, which speaks towards his upset at safety. I can see scenarios where different schools like Armstrong for different positions, that’s how much upside he has. There is much more development to go but early on, you can see the talent Armstrong possesses and why big time programs are in pursuit.

Remello Armstrong Remello Armstrong 6'0" | 190 lbs | ATH Franklin Road Academy | 2029 TN is an elite in-state cornerback prospect who has taken that next step as a sophomore at FRA. He flashed some really impressive traits a season ago, but looked more polished after a full offseason to develop and get more familiar with the defensive system.

He grew in stature this summer, now standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 185 pounds with a long, athletic frame. Armstrong has some excellent physical tools to go with his size. His speed is nice, he’s a fluid mover, flips his hips well, has one of the best verticals in his class and has that second gear to mirror receivers downfield.

Armstrong is technically sound, has some of the best instincts of all in-state defensive backs, uses his hands well to gain leverage has nice footwork and adjusts well on passes thrown his way. The sophomore has intercepted multiple passes this season, proving that he has the hands to be a difference maker on that side of the football.
