2029 NPA DB Re’Mello Armstrong turned in another highly impressive performance in the secondary and looked the part physically from the moment he stepped on the field. With a well-developed frame for his age, Armstrong used his strength to play with real physicality in press coverage and disrupt receivers early in routes. He stayed sticky throughout the day, matching receivers stride for stride and showing real game speed. His combination of strength, coverage ability, and athleticism made him one of the more difficult defensive backs to deal with all day for receivers.

Armstrong played like a man amongst boys as an eighth-grader at Rose Park Middle School last year, helping them to the second of their back-to-back Metro Nashville Public Schools City championships. Armstrong has posted very impressive combine numbers in recent months at multiple events–namely a 32.5″ vertical and a 4.37 in the forty. His pure gravity on the field forces defenses to adjust, having to double him and put him in bracket coverage. Armstrong commanding the defense’s attention makes opportunities for his teammates, as they will see single coverage on almost every snap.
