capped off his stellar career with the Gainesville Cardinals earning 2nd team all Cedar Run District honors for the offensive line. Hobbs just picked up his 6th offer from Norfolk State on Monday, Coach Vick is trying to keep the big man in state. The 52nd ranked recruit overall in our 2026 class should see more offers with many colleges finishing their season.

One of top remaining uncommitted 2026 recruits remains

. The young man has been busy this off-season collecting a plethora of offers from the likes of Delaware State to Towson. Hobbs is 6’6 and mobile enough to play guard or tackle at the next level. In my opinion he is a Power 4 prospect, but will see how his recruiting ends up.

was already high on a number of FBS schools waitlist and now he has a couple of offers to prove it. University of Maine offered him mere hours before the showcase and Delaware State was not far behind. Hobbs looked good and comfortable mainly lining up at tackle this past Wednesday. That could be his future their for the Cardinals this fall and should show off his versatility for more Division 1 schools to offer.

The past two seasons Gainesville has produced division 1 lineman on both sides of the ball and mark my words

will be the next major prospect. Perhaps not major as he has been the starter at guard for the Cardinals the past two seasons, Hobbs is 6”6 and 295 lbs.. It is hard to standout amongst the giants that Gainesville has traditionally produced up front but Hobbs manages to do so. When he gets his defender locked in with his powerful arm strength, it does not end well. A big strong guard with his size, talent and GPA should get him a few FBS level offers this off-season.

was already that dude before his junior season began and he has elevated his play in the process. A top ten ranked offensive lineman Hoobs has been making the his rounds with stops at Georgia, Rutgers and Coastal Carolina. Trust me when I saw that the upcoming recruiting cycle many Power 4 coaches will have Hobbs at the top of their list.

is next in line in what has already become an impressive school in a short time frame under Coach Bruton. Our 7th ranked lineman and 55th overall I have profiled Hobbs before but I agree with what my colleague Cole Laing had to say below:
Reed has elite height and good size for an offensive guard standing at 6’6″ and 280 lbs. Displays good strength, solid explosiveness, and hand quickness. He is able to gain a latch on defenders and utilize his strength to turn them out of the gap and force them to the ground with good finish on his blocks. He also shows good anchor ability in pass protection with good use of hands to push defenders off balance in their pass rush. Reed has good upside as he continues to develop his game over the next couple of seasons.

The Gainesville Cardinals are not going anywhere quite frankly anytime soon with Head Coach Daniel Bruton running the show. While they’re senior class will have many division 1 prospects, lineman

from the 2026 class is too good to ignore.
Hobbs is 6’6 280 lbs. and he moves very well at guard and at tackle, his footwork is perfect. No offers as of yet but Hobbs is set to take off this fall, like I said he is too good to ignore.
