Last year he made plays at running back, slot receiver and kick returner. One of the more dynamic athletes in the county, Ruth is also a track star for Gainesville. I would expect him to be their lead back but they could line him up on the outside as their appears to be a big of a logjam in this position group.

He will probably be Mallory’s favorite target and he looks like he can get open against any defense. Ruth can fly out of the gate and I do anticipate bumping up his ranking when the new 2027s come out later this month.

Amari is a versatile offensive weapon who can play Running Back and Slot Receiver. Good athletic ability, with good short-area quickness, change of direction, and solid speed. He has a shifty running style, and he does a good job running in traffic using his quickness to cut and evade defenders. Operates best in outside runs from the backfield and jet sweeps out of the Slot. As a receiver, he can stretch the field, shows good hands and YAC ability. He is a name to watch heading into his senior season who should gain interest in recruiting due to his versatility.
