Measurables: Standing at 5’8″ 160-Pounds, the FDR Running Back, has a solid frame, and despite the slimmer build, can look to add more weight as he grows and progresses through High School to fill out his frame. 

Evaluation: Film is a bit limited on the FDR prospect, but after watching him compete at multiple showcases, I have a solid idea of his evaluation. I like his speed, and he is one of the quickest guy on the field. He has a quick burst, and can reach his top speed with ease. He is a balanced runner, and uses leverage to move through holes, allowing him to evade contact. As a Pass Catcher, he is solid, and shows a good understanding of a route tree, and can make catches at the short and intermediate ranges. He can look to improve in all aspects of his game, and his skills as a pass catcher, should be improved in the separation and footwork areas, to allow him to make sharp cuts, and find open catches across the field.

Amaro is a consistent camp attendee, and is always a player who impresses with his speed across the field. The FDR playmaker had a slower 40-time due to the conditions, but put together an impressive Pro Shuttle time with a 4.50.

Amaro Jr is a shifty back, and he weathered the storm this past weekend showcasing good speed, and ability to make jump cuts. He has a quick burst, which allows him to get out of jump cuts with ease. In pass reps, he showcased some good catches, and had the ability to create separation on routes, Amaro Jr is a solid back who continues to improve, and I was impressed with his progress and performance despite the tricky conditions.

Despite not being the biggest back on the field, he constantly found ways impress scouts with his lateral quickness and sudden acceleration. He was especially dangerous once he got into space, routinely outrunning linebackers to the perimeter and making defenders miss. Rashad also proved he could contribute in multiple ways offensively, flashing reliable hands and natural ability as a pass catcher out of the backfield.

Rashad Amaro Jr Rashad Amaro Jr 5'8" | 160 lbs | RB/DB Franklin Delano Roosevelt | 2028 State NY proved to be the total package with his versatility and playmaking ability this past weekend in New York. While smaller in stature, Rashad more than made up for it with his explosiveness, quickness, and ability to change direction in an instant. An absolute weapon in the open field, he consistently beat linebackers to the edge and created separation with his burst and agility. Amaro also showed strong value as a receiving threat out of the backfield later in the day, making him one of the more dynamic offensive players at the camp.

Amaro Jr, is a young underrated prospect, who attends FDR. The RB/DB, displays the ability to play on both sides of the ball, and showcases an elite IQ. Standing at 5’8″ 150-Pounds, he has a slimmer build for the position, and should look to reach the 165-Pound mark. He was a Winter Showcase Standout in Warwick, and showcased quick footwork, paired with elite speed, that allows him to reach the second level with ease. Amaro will be the top ball carrier for his squad this season, and certainly will make a name for himself, leading him to be a RB to watch.

Amaro Jr, is a consistent Showcase attendee. The FDR Prospect, stood at 5’8″ 145-Pounds, and displayed an undersized build for a two-way player. He can continue to work on increasing weight and size, and has tons of time to do so.

Amaro Jr, had an impressive testing portion, and clocked the Top 40-Time of the afternoon, with a blazing 4.43. He was also Impressive in the other drills, clocking in the Top 60 for each. Amaro displayed excellent footwork, which set him apart from other RB’s.

Rashad’s performance steadily built momentum throughout the day, with his best work coming as the reps piled up. He impressed with his quickness and ability to stay low and balanced through unplanned contact, allowing him to keep his feet moving and finish the play. His motor never wavered, and that all out effort was especially evident during the testing portion, where he stood out as one of the top performers in the cone drills. A smooth, efficient mover, Rashad consistently showed traits that translate well on the field.
