Quinton Reese of Ramsay High School stood out for his defensive capabilities in the championship game. Despite the loss, Reese’s individual performance was notable for his tenacity and skill. Reese displayed a keen sense of positioning, allowing him to be at the right place at the right time to disrupt plays. Reese is a heat seeking missile at the linebacker position- he is terrific at at covering ground from sideline to sideline-it doesn’t matter what the offense is doing, he uses his speed and agility to track down ball carriers and make plays all over the field. In addition to his physical abilities, Reese’s football IQ and instincts are also super apparent in his play. Reese has a knack for reading plays, reacting quickly, and tackles and plays on the ball to limit the opposing offense. Reese not only disrupts opponents’ offensive schemes but also limits big gains, he’s a great leader of his defense and has had a heck of a season this year.
